Individual treatment for a healed scar
Scar Release brings together assessment and hands-on treatment using LymphaTouch, McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release or both. The approach is chosen for your scar and how the area responds.
Who it is for
This appointment is for people who would like a healed scar assessed and treated, whether it follows surgery or an older injury. Under my clinic policy, treatment starts no earlier than eight weeks after surgery. The scar still needs to be suitable for treatment at the time of your visit.
What to expect
We’ll talk about the scar’s history, any symptoms you have noticed and what you would like from treatment. I’ll assess the area, explain the approach and check that you are happy to proceed.
Depending on your scar, I may use LymphaTouch, MSTR or a combination. The treatment is adapted to the area and your comfort, with privacy maintained throughout. Please tell me if anything feels uncomfortable, and you can ask me to pause at any point.
Your appointment lasts 30 minutes, including assessment and treatment. No preparation or formal aftercare is required. Before you leave, we’ll discuss how the session went and whether another appointment would be appropriate. If you have an open wound or concerns about healing, contact your surgical or medical team before arranging scar treatment.

After each session, I will be upfront and clear about the recommended next steps, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident with the plan.
